Mindstorm

A fearsome & fantastic journey to the heart of the Savage Id.

Name:
Location: Invisible City, North Dakota, United States

Read my book, The Mind-Warp Era. It'll tell you about the real Lead--& his alter-ego, the true Rootboy covered with slime (the Savage Id). Partly a poignant memoir, partly a cosmicomic book, it relays the Id's adventures thru dark dimensions of funereal dread, with Timothy Leary as co-pilot. (The rumors of his death have been greatly exaggerated.)

psilocybin takes you down...

...to the living water, & Jesus was on mushrooms when he walked upon the water & he's touched your perfect dyad with his mind...

Suzanne also takes you down, but she does it with neutaleptics & not psilocybin, much as I enjoy psychedelica (or at least U-boat): we saw Dr Locoweed yesterday. Our appointment was for 9:45, but Kathy Upstairs said we could come early -- so after getting Trish up early & fixing her Toasted Frog, we perambulated toward the Perky Pam Layout. When we arrived, we still had to wait an hour. Since Trish is being tapered off her haldol, Suzanne agreed that her Artane should be cut (which as the object of theft is what Willy is not-doing in here). As for myself, my sleep medication has been bumped up a notch: last night, I took 3 & slept until after 6:00 this morning.

We then went downstairs to the Layout. Trish walked to work at 10:30, & even though I'm trying to get her to drive the bat-mobile more, fear & loathing kept her from doing it.

Cheri fixed chicken at the Layout, & I spent the afternoon rewriting Mindstorm. I just (almost) finished "Beyond God & Sisyphus"; this afternoon I start "UFO & U-2" When Trish came home -- a beautiful day, perfect for walking -- I let her play Penguins for awhile. I talked with Fred thru the wire, & then we had left-over sketti. Today I'm going to Albertson's to pick up some cube steaks so we can have chicken-fried steak tonight.

I see Joe at 11:00 today, so I'll be hanging around the Layout with Trish until then. I want to talk about my dreams & the hard reality of being an insane science fiction author. Mostly, I'm afraid of losing my disability if I have any of my novels published, & I'm more of a novelist by inclination than a short story author, even though (perhaps with Ted's help) I can keep on submitting short stories to Analog until the patent on Risperdal expires & generics are available.
